What techniques are use in the film 'The Devil wears Prada' to represent the isolation and difficulty that Andrea faces?

In this film, the director uses multiple sequences of a chaotic and stressful work environment at the magazine to demonstrate and emphasize how out of place Andrea is.  Then the characters she interacts with are developed in sets of overlapping rivalries and competitions so that she is isolated further, espeically that of her boss, Meryl Streep, and the assistants under her ewho try to curry her favor.  Andrea is obviously on the outside of this.

Another technique is the setting, which is in a huge skyscraper in the middle of a large city for the magazine headquarters, and internationally to add to the hustle and bustle environment.
