Of what kind of person does Benjamin (in Animal Farm) remind you? What is your opinion of such people? What makes people behave this way?

I suppose Benjamin reminds me a bit of myself.  He is pretty cynical about the way the world works and the way his government works.  He does not believe that he as an individual has any ability to cause any real change in his society as a whole.

Since I am one of these people, I do not feel too badly about them.  I think they behave this way because it is a realistic way to behave.  If I jump up and down and yell and scream about how terrible our political system is and how stupid people are for thinking the way they do, all it will do is raise my blood pressure.  I do not have the power to change the way people think and that is why I behave as I do, politically speaking.
