Do you have a sketch or map about the story "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow"?

I am not sure what you are looking for, but if you want to find a map for this story, it takes place in Sleepy Hollow, New York. Sleepy Hollow was known as "North Tarrytown" for awhile, but then it was renamed Sleepy Hollow. It is a small town on Route 9 in New York state, about 30-40 miles north of New York City, nestled in the Hudson River Valley. During Washington Irving's time, there were many small Dutch settlements in this area of New York state. Many of the towns have very colorful names. For example, Sleepy Hollow was named that because it was a sleepy little town. Tarrytown was named because there were taverns located there where men would "tarry" (linger") over drinks after work. There is a place called Spuyten Duyvil which means "devil's spout." There are fierce wind currents in that part of the Hudson and the Dutch believed that there was a whirlpool there from which the devil could pull you down into hell (because many ships disappeared in this area). Dobbs Ferry was named after a man named Dobbs who ferried people across the river. Very cool.

There are some links below of maps of the area. If this is not what you want, just do an online search of Sleepy Hollow and you can zero in more on what it is you need. Please repost if we can help further.
